Our Story
Mountain Fence began in 1996 with Marvin and his wife, serving Ashe County one fence at a time. They built their reputation the only way that works in a small community, by showing up, doing solid work, and standing behind it.
That commitment continues today under owners Tommy Hampton, a Watauga County native, and Rick LaBarre. When they took the reins, they did not change the foundation, they expanded on it. We added full service deck building, invested in a new facility, and grew the team, all while staying rooted in the same values that earned trust from the beginning.
Our Commitment
We do not just work in the High Country, we live here. That means understanding local terrain, weather, building codes, and expectations.
You will find us supporting local food banks, meeting homeowners at the Blowing Rock Home Show, and staying involved in the community.
